Join me at Moseley Yoga for a sumptuous Sunday evening Yin practise.
Yin yoga is an accessible practise that stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body, with the help of various props and supports.
The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility as the poses stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas. It also helps us to regulate the body's flow of energy.
This meditative practice of yoga requires students to be ready to get intimate with the self, with feelings, sensations, and emotions. As the postures are passive, there is more opportunity to bring your focus and awareness inwards.
This extended sequence is longer than a regular class, enabling you to go deeper into relaxation. Expect to float home feeling balanced and mellow, ready for the week ahead.
